Minimum Hiring Qualifications

To be considered for employment by Northeast Nebraska Juvenile Services, Inc., any applicant who would work in direct and continuing contact with juveniles must meet the following requirements and maintain these requirements throughout employment:

  • Citizen of the United States

  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED

  • Must be at least 19 years of age at the time of hire

  • Must not have a history of child or adult abuse, neglect, physical or sexual assault, or inappropriate behavior toward children or adults

  • Must be free from any conviction for felony or other crime punishable by imprisonment in a federal or state penitentiary for a term of one (1) year or more from which a pardon has not been received.
